Beach Hop Rock’n’Roll Festival is a registered charity and each year after the event we donate tens of thousands of dollars to local emergency services to keep our community safe. With the recent tragic flooding from Cyclone Gabrielle, especially in the East Coast and Hawkes Bay areas, our Committee has unanimously agreed to help some of those affected. We’ll do this by:
1. Asking for nominations of a couple who were registered for Repco Beach Hop 23, and have been seriously affected by the floods. We’ve arranged for accommodation at a beautiful property and the use of a special car for the Festival – all free of charge. Please email us at beachhop@xtra.co.nz to nominate a worthy couple and tell us their story.
2. Donating some of the proceeds from Repco Beach Hop 23 to the Cyclone Gabrielle Relief Fund. We won’t know the amount until after the Festival, and we will still make donations to our local emergency services as they need ongoing support as well.
You can help us by purchasing merchandise and Festival Programmes, bidding on auctions etc, while at the Festival. The more we earn, then the more we can donate to these organisations.
